The Center for Advanced Study of Teaching and Learning
The University of Virginia Center for Advanced Study of Teaching and Learning (CASTL) focuses on the quality of teaching and students' learning. CASTL's aim is to improve educational outcomes through the empirical study of teaching, teacher quality, and classroom experience from preschool through high school, with particular emphasis on the challenges posed by poverty, social or cultural isolation, or lack of community resources.
Center for Technology and Teacher Education
The Center for Technology and Teacher Education is a cross-disciplinary group of faculty and students working to develop appropriate uses of technology in teacher education, to prepare the next generation of technology leaders, and to influence educational technology policy.
McGuffey Reading Center
McGuffey is the oldest operating University reading center in the country.We operate diagnostic and teaching clinics staffed by our graduate students and supervised by resident faculty.
National Research Center on the Gifted and Talented (NRC/GT)
The NRC/GT plans and conducts theory-driven quantative and qualitative research on gifted students that is problem-based, practice-relevant, and consumer-oriented.
